Cassandra has more than 10 years of experience working for corporate and non-profit organizations in marketing and event management. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications Studies from the University of Rhode Island. Cassandra grew up on a farm in Matunuck, RI where she had the great fortune to grow up with companion animals both furry and those with scales in addition to horses and other livestock. When she heard about the mission of Pets on Wheels, Cassandra was inspired to be a part of making the lives of people brighter by uniting them with an animal from a shelter, giving the animal a loving home. She resides in Hope Valley, RI with her husband Rick. They share their home with their two senior dogs, Cricket (a beagle) and Simon (a dachshund).
Ashley comes to Pets on Wheels of Connecticut with experience in placing pets from local shelters and rescues. In her time volunteering, she spearheaded an initiative to bring dogs from an inner city that was over crowded, to a quieter shelter where she could work with them and have more opportunity to find loving homes. This work allowed Ashley to gain insight and understanding into many different breeds and work with training methods that best suit each dog. Ashley received her B.S. in Fashion & Retail Merchandising with a minor in Art from Lasell College and currently serves as the Administrative Assistant at Cummins Envirotech, Inc. in Old Lyme. She lives in Old Saybrook with her husband, Jonathan, their two Chihuahuas, Chico and Lola, Shepard Mix, Lily, and Pit Bull, named Boston.
